Dear Backers, 

as in previous months, this is another very short update. We are still in the process of financing the next steps. 

Company Funding 

Amongst other activities we have had an event with 15 people attending. Some of them are interested in investing in Lumapod. Overall, we have got very good feedback to what we achieved so far, as well as to the product itself. Follow up conversations are happening these days. Let us keep our fingers crossed, we can close our funding gap soon!

Timeline

As mentioned in the last updates, as long as we do not have the full amount of the required funding committed it is not possible to share a timeline with you. We hope for your understanding. Hopefully we can share more concrete information on this in the next monthly update.

Dear Backers, 

intense times on our side, we are constantly talking with interested investors. With a lot of support from our business angel, which gives us a strong boost to be successful with your fundraising.

Company Funding 

Meanwhile we got a further investor on board who intends to invest as well. We have more meetings planned for the upcoming two weeks. There is still an open gap to be closed. It should be solvable within a reasonable timeframe.

We sent samples to distributors, and the positive feedback clearly helps getting investors' interest. With fundraising, we are still in a process that cannot be determined in terms of time. Therefore we still can not give much information about the timeline. 

Market Feedback 

We got first feedback from interested distributors all over the world who received samples out of our pre-production. “it looks AMAZING” … “we are impressed by your technology” … “our sales team said, we want this product” … “we want to distribute your product”.

Hopefully you can hold it in your hands soon too.

Dear Backers, 

we hope you had a good start in the new year so far! Things on our side are progressing. As long as the company funding isn’t set, we have not much we can share with you. Anyway, we keep updating you as usual once a month. We hope for your understanding! 

Company Funding 

With the help of our two investors, we are constantly talking to further interested investors. We also set up and constantly improve additional financing strategies, in order to leverage the funding from the planned investors. 

Some of you might not think that, but these efforts connected to the company funding are pretty time consuming. It's quite an effort to keep the plan calculation and business plan constantly up-to-date, and answering all investor questions. 

What else are we doing 

In order to most efficiently use the time until we can start production, we are developing a new phone holder. 360° turntable, very compact and convenient to use with a Lumapod. More on that might come in the upcoming updates.

… all backers, who are still morally supporting us with positive comments. This helps us a lot. No, we did not go to the Bahamas with your money. Yes, we have invested your money and our own money with a keen sense of responsibility. In some cases it turned out the chosen supplier could not meet our requirements and we had to relocate the production. This was expensive and it also has a sensitive effect on the product calculation - with so many components. But our priority is the product! Because this is what you supported us for, and what should make you happy at the end. 

Your support made it possible that we even got so far. THANK YOU!

Dear Backers, 

Happy New Year! We hope you had a nice time with your family and friends. This update is rather short. We focus on the progress regarding the recently mentioned fundraising. 

Company Funding 

We want to start with some words about our ambitions. From the first day on we were aiming to build not only any product, but a good and useful product that solves pains some people experience when taking pictures while traveling. To build a brand that remains developing new and innovative solutions. It took us a long time, yes, much longer than we ever expected, and we also had to update our financial plans from time to time. But we always achieved the financing in time. Recently we were still convinced that the mass-production does not have to be delayed for the reason of a funding gap. But as it did happen we needed to make it a topic in our backer-updates. 

We fully understand when backers are disappointed because of delays! So are we. We don’t work for a big company with a mature organization. We are a couple of normal people trying to make something great. We live on little money and we invested a lot of money, time and energy into Lumapod. We sacrificed many weekends and long nights.. We think we have already proved that we are strongly committed to bringing Lumapod to life. No matter what - we keep doing our job! We hope for your understanding and appreciation after all! 

We had a lot of talks in December about our funding. As this month was short due to vacations, it continues right after the Christmas and New Years Eve holidays.

Dear Backers, 

Pre-Production is finally completed and arrived. Below we provide some insights in our company financing.

Pre-production 

In the moment of finishing this update, we received the second part of the second pre-production. Now both Go85 and Go120 are in our office. Everything we've seen so far has made us very satisfied. You can’t imagine how this feels, after all this journey. 

Go120

In the first quick check practically 100% worked fine. In the in-depth checking, we did not really find anything that would impact the long term functionality. We disassembled some of the tripods to check every part and the assembly. We target to have all samples checked till the end of next week. Moreover we did the 3,000 cycle testing. 

Go85

At the time of writing this update these samples just arrived. Just enough time to do a quick testing. Also here all samples worked fine. In-depth checking will be done till the end of next week.

This means after finally having the product with all toolings and supply chains in line, we are ready for a marketstart - given the tests we do the next few days are positive.

Company Funding

Since we started the project, we've always had to take care of our finances in the background. As some of you may have guessed, crowdfunding money alone is not enough to finance tools, development, production and market start. Hence we are constantly talking to investors and banks. The companies' financials are quite sensible, so we didn’t share it in public updates.

Meanwhile we got a commitment of 2 investors, but we still have open talks. Both investors and sales partners wanted to see working pre-production samples. As we have achieved this now, we are well positioned. The downside is, we have to wait to order the mass production until all the financing is completed. We will get new information very soon and then let you know an update to the timeline.
